Meet Carolina Silva
Carolina Silva, Founder
I founded Lúdica in 2021, after decades working in and leading children’s areas at well-known hotels in Los Cabos — with babies, toddlers, children and teens, and everything from sports and water play to games, learning and hospitality.
For me, Lúdica is a promise: a love for working with children, a way of life, and a personal code of continuous learning. Some families first called me when their child was one year old; today those children are teenagers, and I still join them on their yearly Los Cabos vacations.
My promise to every family is simple: to care for each child with the affection, attention and responsibility I would give my own.

How we match your family
Carolina personally matches the right babysitter to your family based on ages, needs, experience and availability. We don’t send individual sitter profiles — matching is her craft.
Newborns and up
We care for newborns onward, with no maximum age. Only sitters validated for newborns are assigned to them — never someone without that experience.
A baby up to two years
A baby up to two years old is cared for by a dedicated sitter.
A baby up to two, plus another child
A baby up to two years old together with any other child is cared for by two sitters.
Four or more children
Four or more children are arranged with a custom quote after we review the group.
Special needs
Children with special needs are welcomed after we review the case, and only when a sitter with the right experience is available.

Frequently asked questions
What is the minimum booking time?
Hourly babysitting has a four-hour minimum. Shorter requests are billed at the four-hour minimum.
How far in advance should I request a babysitter?
Please request at least 12 hours ahead — ideally 24. Requests with less than 12 hours are taken subject to availability, with no guarantee.
Is overnight care available?
Yes. We offer evening and overnight care, with no set end time.
Do your babysitters speak English?
Yes. All of our babysitters care for children in both Spanish and English, and Carolina verifies English in an interview.
Can you care for newborns?
Yes. We care for newborns onward, with no maximum age. Only babysitters validated for newborns are assigned to them.
When is a second babysitter required?
A baby up to two years old is cared for by a dedicated babysitter. A baby up to two years old together with any other child is cared for by two babysitters.
Do you serve villas, hotels and vacation rentals?
Yes. We provide in-place care at villas, hotels, resorts, private residences and vacation rentals across Los Cabos. Some hotels and communities may require advance registration and access emails, which we help coordinate.
Which areas have transportation fees?
A flat location fee applies to some areas: Diamante, East Cape and Los Barriles add $50 USD, and Todos Santos adds $100 USD.
How does the deposit work?
A 30% deposit is required through Stripe, and an 8.5% tax is added. Your babysitter is reserved only after the deposit is paid.
What is the cancellation policy?
There are no cancellations or refunds. Please confirm your details before payment.
Can the babysitter accompany us to activities or events?
A babysitter can accompany your family to dinners, the beach, excursions, clubs and yachts — subject to access, authorization, logistics and safety. We also provide childcare for weddings, parties, conferences and events.
What information should parents provide?
Please share allergies, medications, an emergency phone and your child’s routines, along with the booking details: location, date, start time, duration, and the number and ages of your children.
Booking, Payment & Cancellation
Please review how booking and payment work before you confirm. These terms come from Lúdica and Cabo Travel Boutique.
1. Deposit & Reservation
A 30% deposit is required through Stripe. Your babysitter is reserved only after the deposit is paid. An 8.5% tax is added as configured by Cabo Travel Boutique.
2. Balance
Stripe is the recommended way to pay in full. The remaining 70% balance may be paid in cash, but it must be settled before the babysitter leaves. If cash isn't available, CTB or Carolina sends a QR or Stripe link, and the babysitter waits for confirmation before leaving.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
There are no cancellations or refunds. Please confirm your details before payment.
4. Overtime
There is a 15-minute grace period. Beyond that, a full additional hour is charged.
5. Surcharges
- Service after 8:00 p.m.: +35%.
- Holidays and high-occupancy dates: +35%.
- These surcharges are cumulative — after 8:00 p.m. on a holiday or high-occupancy date is +70% total.
- Location fees apply to some areas (Diamante, East Cape and Los Barriles +$50 USD; Todos Santos +$100 USD).
- Custom materials and any third-party costs are quoted separately.
- A tip is optional, not included, and appreciated.
